Re: Pulled Over :0(

Seen all sorts of unmarked cars round here, ranging from Audi A6's to Impretza's to Evo's. I got pulled in my coupe a couple of years back in Brecon (sleepy little market town) for what they called a "safety check". Didn't look at the car though but were more interested in the safety of my license &...

Re: ZT totalled.

Looks like an aquaplane that got out of hand, seen the aftermath of too many of these incidents in the last few weeks.

Re: Pipercross Viper

I know what you mean, it does sound like Pipercross are going out of their way to cover themselves just in case it doesn't fit  I'm pretty sure Mick who replied on your other thread has one of those on his, or at least something very similar and when it comes to it the 216 K series coupe has a...

Re: Pipercross Viper

The 218Vi had the VVC motor in it, if you look at the fitments on that list the Vi is on there.

Re: Did you see BBC4

Managed to get hold of these via a download site cos they had already gone off iplayer, very interesting programmes. I didn't know the full story behind the VC10, couldn't believe it was built to BOAC's specific requirements and then they turned it down and bought 707's instead.

Re: BRM

Stethoscope time (or a piece of 1" x 1" wood) to have a listen inside the head, my money is on a dying VVC mech seeing as you say its "really" noisy

Re: My new toy

Thanks guys and yes Martin I have too, I bought one that powerful mainly so I don't have to mess about with all this gear changing malarkey and doubt i'll ever get anywhere near what its capable of. Its just nice to slot into top and cruise and when an overtake is required just wring its neck a bit ...

Re: Another MOT passed

My headlights seem to need adjusting every year even though I don't touch them in between, probably the level adjusters playing up. Probably get some new ones without the electric leveling and then HID them this year.

Re: Another MOT passed

Mike I rekon the K series engines are better on emissions when its colder, not had issues with it since my MOT has been done in the middle of winter. It would only scrape through when it was done in August and then it would fight all the way, never failed for it though. My other car is in for its MO...

Re: Another MOT passed

Hopefully Tom yes, it spent most of last year causing constant problems with the brakes and in the end it had 2 new rear calipers and 2 new handbrake cables and one front caliper rebuild (I'm never changing handbrake cables again btw). Driving home from Cosford last year I somehow managed to get a p...
