Re: What are your plans for 2018 ?

Re: What are your plans for 2017 ?

I need to finish refurbishing the house so I can make space in the garage to work on the cars!

Primary aim this year is to get the engine rebuilt and back in the 420 so I can finally get it back on the road after a 3+ year absence (so far :-| ).

Today is my last day before I have two weeks off :D

Working from home today to avoid the supposed traffic chaos the news reports keep going on about!

Re: A new home for my Rovers

I am able to use roof space for storage. I just chose to board the roof space out to reflect some light down into the garage. There is a large loft hatch at the back of the garage to access the roof space.

Re: A new home for my Rovers

Final piece of the jigsaw was installed today; at long last the garage door has arrived from Germany and the fitters have, in the past few minutes, left the premises and garage is now fully secure :D

Re: A new home for my Rovers

Look very cosy. Are you having a solid path down the side off the garage to the back door or stepping stones in the grass for a softer effect so it does not feel to narrow? Not really sure what we're doing yet. There will be some form of path along the side and around the back of the garage, but wh...

Re: A new home for my Rovers

Not a huge amount visually has really changed on the garage over the past week, the builder has been focussing on tying up all the loose ends as the job near completion, but we did get the render painted last week so its all looking smart, all I need now is for the garage door to be installed, which...

Re: A new home for my Rovers

Coming along nicely Tom, how wide is it internally ? Its just shy of three metres wide internally, so the same width as Jimm's pretty much. It was exactly 3m wide at the outset, but building control insisted on thicker walls and I didn't want the hassle of going back to planning to increase the ext...

Re: A new home for my Rovers

Not much actually happened on the garage during week eight while the builders continued to focus on the alterations to the house; hence no updates last week. The house alterations are now complete on the outside, but there is some work left to be done finishing the inside. I do however now have vehi...

Re: A new home for my Rovers

I think I know what that garage is missing :P You're a bad influence; you're already giving me ideas, but sadly they'll have have to wait for the time being! A half-finished track car??? Definitely needs some tippex graffiti. Hey Mike, not seen you on here in a while. We defintely need to fix the g...

Re: A new home for my Rovers

The garage is 7 metres behind the back of the house, which *should* give me plenty of room to manoeuvre the car about.
