Well maintained 216

Postby mimbo » Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:30 pm

Hi members

Am wanting to get another 216, How many 1000 miles can a 1.6 do?
A couple I am looking at is over 100,000
How many miles does the cam belt need doing?

One was done at 60,000 and when will that be due change again?

Is 116,000 miles high for a 1993 L Reg and the cam belt was replaced at 60,000

Never argue with an idiot - they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Would'nt you be better off getting the starter fixed on your exsisiting coupe, rather than trying to track down a decent (and quite rare) Auto 1.6?

Will know tomorrow about a 216 coupe, Depending if the buyer turns up to buy it, E bay need I say anymore
The coupe is in Southampton and the buyer is in Plymouth  A long way ???

If that one falls through I have a 216 GSI to look at in Portsmouth Like the colour of ut as its the same as my 75 BRG :D But 126,500 miles 1999 S plate and they asking £795 with a New MOT and 6 months tax, Just think its a bit over priced????

Thats all the cars I have lined up now, Till something else turns up on e bay

My coupe is on e bay and a mate from the 75 owners club is the highest bidder, The coupe had been standing a while, the gears is very juddery, oil leak, power steering leak, steering needs sorting as well as correct tyres sizes fitted, wrong battery fitted, surface rust under car, Needs quite a few quid spending on it and my credit cards will not allow this to happen, Am not pre to spend any more cash on it, Cost me 700 quid last month

Something will turn up in the near future :D
