Photo help required

Post by tompinney » Mon Oct 21, 2013 9:48 am

Over the weekend I finally started updating the body colours page on the website to show photos of all the different body colours the coupe came in.

http://www.rover-coupe.com/rcoc/index.p ... dy-colours

This is something I've been meaning to do ever since I updated the site, but I need some help from you all. As you can see from the page, I'm missing photos of quite a few colours - which may seem odd given some of the missing colours!

The problem is that I'm after is photos of clean, standard coupes, in good condition, taken from the same angle as those in the photos I've already got.

If anyone has any photos of the missing colours in their collections, can they post them in this thread so that I can update the article.

TIA!
Tom

This is going to be hard, I can't help with MNX unfortunately as I just don't have one at the angle you need the photo taken from.

I've found this in my file's of a Nordic Blue example?

Possibly the best your going to get, unless you come across that one you spotted on the road again!

I'll have a look later. However HNA ie early BRG is pearlescent unlike the later colour.

That's interesting, because the brochure I have here says its a metallic :? and equally unhelpfully, the EPC doesn't state it eitherway.

Was just about to find a picture of Flame Red for you, but I see you've already got my car shown! Did you take that picture at Duxford Tom?

Jimm, If I remember correctly the early BRG was Metallic and Pearlescent BRG came out later. It was a long time ago when I was selling these but I have some brochures somewhere and will look it up.

Was very surprised and flattered you used my FDH in charcoal. It was obviously on a good day from its best side :) thanks

Keep the photos coming guys, that's a couple chalked off the list. I'm aware some cars will be hard to find; if it comes to it I'll probably start taking photos of modified cars in the missing colours, but in the meantime I'll hold out for photos of standard cars for now.

James, do you have a larger version of the photo of that nordic one?

I don't I'm afraid :(

I have another though, not sure if you could get away with the quality of the picture and dent in the door?

Jinxy's anthracite, but I've trawled through all of our photos and I don't have a single shot of her with standard wheels. Nor do I have a photo at the right sort of angle.

As the wheels are the only "visible" mod on Jinxy, I'll get a couple of shots done and see if I can Photoshop standard rims on Tom. If not, will a pic with her nice new shoes do?

Failing that, can someone lend me a couple of standard wheels?

I have some what I was told where standard VVC wheel Tracy. They are the same as the night fire red one already pictured on the list, they have 195/50/15 tyres on them ( is that the standard VVC size ). You can burrow them if they will fit on after your brake upgrade. Two off them are not scuffed round the edge but are not as shiny as your new ones. Could get them over to you some time :D

It wasn't a find Tom, I asked the member for a picture who owns this car and explained the reason behind it.

Only PMF Coupe I know in this condition! :D
