VIN decoding poll

Post by tompinney » Sat Oct 26, 2013 9:52 am

[Anorak Mode]

All,

I'm putting together a VIN decoder for the website so that people can check that their car matches when the VIN says it should be interms of model year, and engine etc. ie to help people find out if their car has been engine converted for example.

I can decode all the R8 VINs, but to save me some coding effort can you vote in the poll so that I can see if my guess on the possible starting combinations for coupes is correct.

If your VIN doesn't match the combinations in the poll, can you post up the first seven digits of yours so I can check it against the decoding information I have to see what I've missed out.

Ta!

I have only been able to vote once but that is actually 7 yes from me Tom :D 3 on L to N plate 2L NASPS, 2 on L to N plate Turbo's and 2 on Rover engine 216 coupes. That just leaves the Honda 216 coupes and the VVC I think Tom so spot on so far 8)

I can confirm that the coupe does conform but the Cabby doesn't. Think we could do with someone K-Series to check.
