Thanks. I may have found one on eBay, although I will make a couple of phone calls tomorrow. I spoke to Rimmers the other week, but they only had the solid type and not the pretensioner one.

Same when I was looking about the solid ones!

I found plenty of passenger ones but the driver's side was a bit harder to get hold of seeing as they're the ones that go the most & people weren't prepared to split them from full interior's which is understandable!

Just a quick update, but without photos as I still haven't worked out how to post them again thanks to Windows 10.

I've managed to find a seatbelt stalk, so that will be fitted before the weekend.

The MOT runs out next week and unfortunately the hole in the rear section is a fail. I've arranged to drop it off at the local classic car place to have the welding done when they can fit it in. I will have to drive it straight to the garage for the MOT.

Eventually, I will have it re sprayed, but without a full strip. I can't face all that again for a while! And I will be having it done at the same place Tracey had hers done this time. And there's a station nearby as well!

You should try an air duster to see if that helps. worth giving the replacemet a blast with an air line.

There is a firm called quick fit saftey belt systems they can sometimes repair belts.

I bought a replacement seat belt stalk off eBay (it the bit the seat belt clips into I need). It arrived today in a jiffy bag but unfortunately it appears to have activated in transit due, I assume, to inadequate packing! I will have to get a refund and look around again.

As I'm now on 'Happy Pill's, I'm beginning to catch up with things, so here's another quick update.

The faulty driver's pre-tensioner seatbelt as been repaired by Exeter Road Garage in Newton Abbot and is waiting refitting.

I have been having a problem with erratic idling. Initially when cold, it would hunt between 1500 and 2000 revs before eventually settling down at around 1100 to 1200 revs. Turns out it was a broken wire on the cam sensor!

Just a quick update. This one passed it's MOT in August with flying colours and nothing in the Advisory Information section! The emissions were as follows;

Fast Idle Test (Max Limit)

CO - 0.097 (0.200)
HC - 57 (200)
Lamda - 1.016 (0.970 to 1.030)

Natural Idle Test

CO - 0.114 (0.300)

It's booked in for a thorough service on Friday. Once that is out of the way, I will book it in for attention to the bodywork, prior to a re-spray, probably early next year. I will almost certainly be using the chap who did such a great job on Jinxy!

It was certainly a relief. I'm hoping the silver one will sail through when I eventually get it down to the garage.

I've just ordered a few of these grommets which, according to Rimmers, are NLA. I noticed the other day that water seem to be leaking out of loose one at the top of the spare wheel well. Hopefully, I've managed to post the link below!

If not, the Part number is AYB10020 from MiniSport.

I'm having a slight problem with TC. Sometimes, when you turn the key, there is absolutely nothing. Someone suggested a starter motor problem and that putting it in 1st gear and rocking it to and fro might help, and it does! Any ideas?

Check the gear box to body earth. But probably starter motor signal wire connection needs a clean.
