Rear screen washer won't work.

Post by 1374lee » Fri Aug 11, 2017 6:28 pm

My rear screen washer won't work. When you pull the stalk for the washer to work, you can't hear the motor buzzing at all. Am I right in saying the front and rear wash wiper motors are connected together? My front screen washer works fine just for info.
Any ideas?

Thanks. Lee.

Thanks for the link.Mine is slightly different as the pump isn't sounding when the stalk is pulled. Is it possibly motor related? The front pump works just fine. Are the front and rear pumps connected in some way or not?
Cheers. Lee.

you could just swop the motors over to may shore it is fully but as they are not a lot off money maybe not worth the hassel.

As above really, picture below to help you locate the pumps on the bottle.

If the pump isn't working, check wiring and fuses are OK.

If they seem OK, replace the pumps. They are just held in place with the rubber seals so will just pull out.

Personally I would remove bumper so you have full access and you can check out the condition on the bottle (internal and external) which might need a clean out.
