Christmas meet

Post by Ravinder » Thu Sep 14, 2017 4:55 pm

When is it? It would be good to know in advance, especially for us northerners so we can make arrangements in good time. Hotels get expensive closer to the time. In all the time I've been here, have never once attended the Christmas meet and I plan to change that this year. Please let us know asap! Thanks.

Plan ahead! Are you crazy!

We usually plan for January now to allow everyone to get over the busy period. Lets us this thread to canvas thoughts.

Saturday or Sunday for our long distance travelers?

13/14th Jan or
20/21st Jan?

Thoughts please!

I don't like to make plans esp this early but any of those dates should be ok!

I would prefer a Saturday personally, either date is OK.

The only day I can guarantee that I'll be available is a Sunday, and even then I could still finish late! With regards to a Saturday, I won't know if I'm available until the beginning of December as the Links often change around the middle of the month.

Found out that Jimm and I can't do the 20/21st weekend but we can extended options either way.

It will be the same general plan as previous years. A run out in the morning starting at The Willoughby Cafe (greasy spoon) CV23 8BL and getting to the Green Man Inn, NN13 5TX around midday where we will camp out until people get bored and head home.

14th would be difficult for us, any other date we can probably do.

I would proffer a Sunday but can make a Saturday off if needs be. Any date in January 2018.
