Quotes of £2200 and now £3511 for TPFT on a 216 just don't add up for someone with a clean licence.

My cousin has got a Escort Rs 2000 4x4 he's 21 he pays £665 tpft and parks it on the road lives in St Helens.
I've also got a friend who has just bought a S4 56 plate he's 27 and he pays £1200 Full comp lives in Newcastle and parks it on the road.

Both have clean driving licences

Doesn't add up but its what I'm getting

Alot of companies said they wouldn't insure me til I had my license for a year and there the companies that i can use my bike no claims on direct line, tesco etc. Thing is there's no point in having a car if after insuring it i have no money left to do anything else.
