Thanks H

I'm really confused now, according to the Farnborough website the 787 Dreamliner should be on static display.
However the Derby Evening Telegraph said it arrived at Farnborough on Sunday and departed Tuesday afternoon making a detour to do a low pass over RR Derby on it's way back to the states :?

It was my understanding that it was going to be on static display all week at Farnborough.

Can you confirm that it's gone back H?????

Just found out via the Evening Telegraph that the 787 has deffinately returned to the states :( ,they have pictures of it's low pass over RR in Derby.I really can't understand why it would fly all the way to Farnborough for just 2 days when the show is on all week :? What better chance to show it off and gain orders :? Very strange!

Had a fantastic day at Farnborough on Sunday, the only disapointment was the Vulcan going unserviceable due to a brakes fault and not being allowed to display :( The star of the show for me was the new F18 Super Hornet, absolutely awesome power, shook the ground like nothing else.It looked almost as maneuverable as the Raptor ,here's a film clip i took of it taking off

Looks like you had a decent day at Farnborough Mick, while you were there I was lying under the coupe replacing the downpipe. Shame the Vulcan didn't fly :(

Yeah had a great day Alan, and not a drop of rain again. The Vulcan was due to close the show so i don't think there was any doubt what had star billing. As i mentioned previously, according to the Farnborough website, the 787 was meant to be on static display and the Rapter due to be part of the flying display, but niether were there :( .On the plus side though i was awestruck by the new Super Hornet,it's the nearest thing i've seen to the maneuverability of the Mig 29 OVT and the rapter. It's power sounded truely awsome

Had bit of an airshow myself, test flew what I hope will be my next plane, a Pegasus Quick, in the microlight world this is F1, 100hp, 100mph and can go up at 2,000 per min also has a range of 400 miles on a tank full. Two guy's are looking for two more to buy in and A, I wanted to see how it flew and B, They wanted to see if I was good enough to be trusted with it so 90mins later and six take offs and landings, yes. Now Mrs Springy says i have to sell my old one first . . . anyone want to buy a flying shed ? ! !
