I've seen a quick video on the changes pete, & wot changes there are! :D

Only 5 engines instead of the 8 from last season but is good to see that the old F1 "sound" is gonna be back!

As for predictions?! With all the changes anything could happen so Massa's got a gooda' chance as any! Wot odd's did u get?!

Talk around the paddock is the engines not last the race distance.

They sound like electric cars this year !!! lets see what happens today.

I actually like the sound. The technology of spooling up the turbos prior to power delivery is extremely clever. And the engine without all the electric gubbins producing 600bhp is astonishing. An engine the same size as a typical Ford Focus producing that power is formidable. And I can see quite a few engine penalties I think this year as the turbo is part of the rules. Change the turbo take a penalty I believe

I've been following the pre-season testing with interest, I'll be interested to see what the reliability of these new V6 turbos will be like under the full stress of competitive racing conditions. I wonder if Renault have finally sorted their engines after failing in their bid to extend the development freeze on engine development.

After terrestrial wound up with only half the races and the fact I refuse to line Mr Murdoch's pockets meant I didn't end up seeing any of the races last year and to be honest I didn't miss it as much as I thought I might. I doubt I'll watch any of the BBC coverage this year either.

The engines sound better on TV than real life, but we are used to V10/V8 so I expect we will get used to the change.

I was in grandstand on turn 9/10 and all the F1 cars was struggling to get through there.

Go Riccardo hahaha

Anyone else realise there was a race on today ?

I used to be a big fan of it on the BBC, but last year I seemed to loose a bit of interest and as for this year I can't really be bothered.

Maybe when we get a full afternoons coverage I might start watching again.

What an AWESOME RACE! Wheel to wheel everywhere. Have to say though what an advantage the Mercedes works team has over the rest is pretty scary. I'll still be watching as a proper armchair fan
