Sorry for the late reply but I was hoping that Kev would see your post and reply himself. However, I asked Kev this question myself yesterday as I'm also a PoL first-timer. His reply was along the lines of:

The show opens at 10 which officially means arrive anytime after that. But folks tend to start arriving from 8:30ish onwards, especially the key members of the various clubs attending if they've stands to erect or need to organise their club members' cars into areas reserved for members of their particular club. Don't be surprised if there's a queue if you arrive after 9.

I hope that helps.

And the 4 cars closest to your camera are all Series 2 cars. :wav:

Some facts & figures:
There were 26 Tommys in the Club lineup plus at least one more that I found elsewhere on site, I was told that there was a 28th, but I think it had gone by the time I went looking for it. Excluding the 2 non-UK registered cars, 1 from Holland and 1 from Germany, that represented 10% of the 259 Tommys taxed and registered in the UK at the end of 2025.

Of the 27 cars that I did see there were 9 Series 2 cars of which 5 were VVCs, leaving 4 K-engined 1.6s of which 1 was a very early May '96 "N" reg (query a pre-production car?). and another had the CVT automatic box.

When it came to colours there were:
8 Nightfire Red (another victory for team Pearlescent Red)
6 Tahiti Blue
4 Flame Red
3 Polynesian Turquoise
2 Charcoal
1 Amaranth
1 Antthracite (think I got that right, apologies if I didn't)
1 British Racing Green
1 Platinum Silver

3 cars had the rear window spoiler.

Of the 3 Honda D-engined 216/1.6 cars, 2 had had the boot spoiler added.

2 cars were 220/2.0 NASPs.
