Thanks you are right that was a bit of a mistake on my part, I would have had more time to get the car better prepped but things didn't quite go to plan. Overall the pics are fine and I'm hoping they'll do a short video like they have been doing for most of the classic cars this year.

With no reserve it is a gamble of course but I'm quietly confident, all just depends what happens on the day.

Two potentially contradicting statements there Stew, we'll have to wait and see as you're obviously up for the gamble!

I wish you well with the auction and hope it sells for more than your original asking price.

Thanks James, to be honest I just hope it goes to someone that uses it and hopefully also looks after it. If it fetches a few quid then that's a bonus. I didn't exactly break the bank when I bought it and though I've spent a fair amount on it I did save a lot of money on the work I did myself and got a lot of enjoyment out of it. Let's hope that continues for the new owner, I'll update you on how the auction goes in November and hopefully catch up with some of you in person next year.

This goes out tomorrow I think. Should we all get on there and bid it up 🤐🤐...

Be like a game of hot potato! Try not to get left holding it...

Yes good luck Stew.

This action starts at 11am today and stews car is Lot number 89 so should come up around 1pm

Bidders for this sale should have registered by yesterday so unless you are already registered it is now to late. ;)

Hopefully this makes a good price and finds a loving private owner to carry on your hard work Stew rather than someone that buy it cheap in the trade and tries to double their money for minimum effort.

Possible putting coupe into classic auctions like this is a good way off promoting them to the classic market but without a reserve you are a brave man for sure.

For a no reserve auction, It didn’t do too bad Stew.

I suspect some internal bids helped but who cares providing it sold?

Yes I'm happy enough. Bidding started at £600 and it was bid all the way up to £1000 in £50 increments. Which is more than I bought it for. Obviously I've spent a fair bit on it but I got a lot of enjoyment out of it too. Hope the new owner enjoys and takes care of it. Just need to wait for the cheque to come through then I'll have a bit to stash away to go towards upkeep my Alfa (which was a bit of an interim impulse buy) or the next car.

As always I'll keep my in touch. I have a few more spare parts to sort through and try and sell. If they don't sell I will be donating them to the club next year. Will be in touch with you at some point on that Kevin.
