'98 216 Coupe in Tahiti Blue for Sale

Unfortunately the time has come to sell our Coupe, my wife has been using the car for the past few years and it hasn't even done 2,000 miles a year recently. If we had somewhere to keep it under cover until I had time to restore it then we would. I'm hoping someone in the club is interested so it goes to someone who wants to keep it on the road.

Based in Hertfordshire, near St Albans
MOT'd until Jan 2025 - was parked up after MOT and has not been used since, not currently taxed.
Just under 132,000 on the clock
Car drives well and has always been reliable for us
1.6 K series
Nice spotty red interior!

Gearbox is leaking oil, it wasn't an advisory at the MOT but you will notice a small puddle after a few days.

Paintwork is fairly bad in places:
lacquer has completely peeled on the drivers door
paint has faded and is badly chipped on the spoiler
lacquer peeling on the boot lid.
Both front wings have suffered damage from car being knocked whilst parked
Deep scratches have appeared on the roof between the black strip and the glass
There is some black paint at the bottom of the rear quarter on the N/S where some welding was done for the MOT

Sills have been patched a few times, could do with replacing but just passed an MOT...
Generally OK from a rust point of view, I've had the rear seats out and was surprised how clean the floor etc was

Would make a good project / rolling restoration, I wouldn't hesitate to use this daily and did use it for commuting last summer when Audi couldn't get the parts for my A3 for 3 months!

I will add photos in the week when I go to where the car is parked up.

Asking £1,250 as it runs and drives fine with a current MOT.

I'll include any spare parts I've got in the garage.
