1998 NFR VVC SOLD

So Red's finally very reluctantly up for sale. 1998 NFR VVC.

There's a thread on here about it.

It's 98% standard, just has after market wheels & a s/s back box that has a very nice sound to it.

Engine service was done in January with new oil, filter & coolant flush, cap & re-fill along with a new exhaust manifold gasket & stud kit due to a slight blow.

I have loads of pics to send to the new owner if they want.

It's on 130k ish & flew through the MOT in January.

Starts & stops every time but smells a bit rich now & then, compression test was done & results came back ok. Front brakes were bled as the car sat for a while & had a sticky caliper but all's good now but does come with 2 new front calipers so the new owner has the option of a full bleed & caliper change.

Front suspension is a bit bouncy but I have a set of 2nd hand springs & shocks to go with the car.

Body is in very good condition, just the usual bubbling arches, rear spoiler & a sill has already been patched (see pic)

Comes with a new clutch, 2X new front calipers, 2X new rear shocks & a spare passenger side door card. Will also be fully valeted & have half a tank of fuel.

Price is £2500 OVNO & before some moan/comment that that's "turbo money" then all I say to you is go buy a turbo then. There's less VVC's on the road than turbo's.

We all know these are getting very rare now esp in this condition & I won't give it away just so someone can break it or banger race it! I've spent some time & money on this & it really doesn't want for anything.

Your welcome to come & view it & I'll take you for a drive, cars in East London but serious enquiries /comments only please.

Good luck with the sale. Looks like an honest example. Does it have air conditioning?

Just been through the thread on the car and there isn't a totally clear shot of the engine bay but I don't think it does have. :(

Cheers. It's in great condition & pulls better than my Silver 1 which is bloody annoying!

Non AC.

I've not got round to cleaning the engine bay that's why Jimm. I planned on doing it this week/weekend as I wanted to take it to the meet on Monday but somethings come up!

No no no no no

Hold back and wait mate, look how well we did with that white turbo. Yes it was a turbo but I think these cars are worth a lot more to the wider Audience regardless of engine.

Lack of interest might be down to wrong time of year. We are going into winter, people thinking/planning for Christmas and the scare mungering about energy prices all play a part etc etc.

Advertise it everywhere too - Car and classic / Facebook / eBay / autotrader / gumtree / outside your house / R200&R400 Club

Got no choice James. I've got 9 days till this ULEZ logger starts & I still haven't got a complient car, ill health hasn't helped! I need to sell Red ideally before I can get another car & need the space. It's on FB, Shpock, Gumtree, Car & Classic & eBay where it's had 2.5k views & nearly 100 watchers but not 1 bid! People are just a waste of space & I haven't got the patience anymore!

Over 3000 views & 114 watchers on eBay & not 1 bid! Seriously, what is wrong with people?!!

If their not gonna bid at £1500 then their not gonna buy it for £2500 are they!

£2000 now, it needs to go!
