Rover 620ti For Sale

Post by conductorwomble »

It’s no good, I’m going to sell the 620.

I bought it earlier this year, as I’ve always fancied a car with the T Series Turbo lump. It’s a great engine without the usual oil leak in the corner and pulls really well.

Unfortunately, apart from the hard suspension, I can’t get on with the Recaro seats. Perhaps it’s yet another sign that I’m getting on a bit, especially as I hurt my back two weeks ago! As always, the 75 has reminded me of just how comfortable the 75 is!

It has been suggested that I advertise it for £3750 online when I have time to get around to it, but I’m open to offers from club members.

I need to start polishing it ready for the Pershore Show at the end of the month, so I will post some photos when I’ve finished.

I do have some screenshots from the adverts, so I’ll try and remember how to post those first. :D

I’ve decided to advertise it at £3,495 but will be happy to consider offers.

The decision to sell is clearly the right one, as I’ve hurt my back again, for the third time since May. The only car that is really comfortable is the 75!

In the meantime, here’s a photo I took earlier.

Hi,

Sorry to read about back, I have a back problem as well but can still drive my 600ti. I found a book called Treat Your Own Back by Robin McKenzie very good.

How many miles has your 600ti done?

Best wishes, Geoffrey.

Hi Geoffrey,

Thanks for that. Things have moved on a bit since my last post. Perhaps, most importantly, my back has been ok so far, as I’ve been VERY careful about what I do!

Somewhat embarrassingly, I belatedly realised that you can adjust the lumbar support. I expected it to be on the right hand side of the seat as with my Tomcat! 😊 It’s still not brilliant, but it is better.

Also, it unexpectedly failed it’s MOT, so I was faced with the choice of selling it as soon as the failure items were sorted (at a possible loss) or spending a little more to make a little bit more. I decided on the latter course of action, as the shocks and tyres are in dire need of replacing, so hopefully (🤞) the ride quality will improve enough to tempt me into keeping it for a while. We shall see!

Finally, it’s done about 76,500 miles.

Hi,

I hope your back continues to improve.

As I am in Stratford-upon-Avon we should put our Rovers together sometime. If you do decide to sell then please let me know.

Best wishes, Geoffrey.

That’s a possibility as I’m in Pershore!

It would certainly be interesting to see how the ride quality compares with the ‘Bouncy Castle’ at the moment.

Oh, and I’ve sent you a PM.
